1.  Enjoy running 'til I drop dead - and put that off as long as possible.
2.  Don't get burn out :-)

Personal:

I herniated/ruptured a disk (L4/L5) in my back in December, 2005.  I told my orthopedic surgeon I wanted to start running.  He said "You'll never run again.".  What a challenge!  So...I started running.

Since then I've lost about 50 pounds, ran 13 marathons and a number of other races.

I am still a clydesdale runner (over 200 lbs), have a large frame, big bones, and not built like a runner at all.  I'm not fast.  I mostly run to have some time to myself and keep in shape.

Super cold and the air quality was bad from the inversion, so I went to the Rec Center and ran 8 miles on a treadmill.  54:11, 6:46/mile AP.

Wasn't motivated to run today, but a co-worker called and wanted to go running at noon.  To get out of the bad air with the inversion and all we drove up Logan canyon and did 5 miles at a 7:01/mile AP.  Good run, felt great afterwards.

6 in North Logan at 2:00 in the afternoon.  2 degrees F.  Nasty cold dirty air.  Still a good run, but took it nice and slow.   I figure if I am going to run every day I to do some good easy days... :-)

6 miles with a few co-workers at lunch.  Nice and easy as it was icy, snowy, and slushy.  7:49/mile AP.

6.3 miles at noon in North Logan.  Slush, Slush everywhere.  Not too far into the run a truck gave me a nice slush shower--pretty sure it wasn't intentional, but my feet were slopping in my shoes from then on.  Ran nice and easy - ~ 7:50/mile AP.  Waiting for good weather.
