Personal:

I herniated/ruptured a disk (L4/L5) in my back in December, 2005.  I told my orthopedic surgeon I wanted to start running.  He said "You'll never run again.".  What a challenge!  So...I started running.

Since then I've lost about 50 pounds, ran 13 marathons and a number of other races. 

I am still a clydesdale runner (over 200 lbs), have a large frame, big bones, and not built like a runner at all.  I'm not fast.  I mostly run to have some time to myself and keep in shape.

10 miles out and back in North Logan at noon.  Good day to run.  Started out a little cold, but then warmed up quickly.  Nice and sunny.  7:21/mile AP.

6 miles with John S. and Steve F. from work in North Logan.  Easy pace--7:45/mile.  Then a slow cooldown/stretching mile at 8:24.

10 mile out and back in North Logan.  Some good hills.  Felt great, and the weather was awesome--54 degrees.  7:05/mile AP.

10 slow miles in North Logan at noon.  I wanted to say "slow and easy miles", but I think doing more of a tempo run yesterday aggravated my knee--so although slow, it wasn't too easy. 

The first three miles were a little painful, then things went better.  The next three were o.k., but the last four were a little painful.  A little "runners"  knee. Anyway, it was a good day outside to run.

7:45/mile AP.

Decided not to run today as my knee is acting up--so I went Skiing all day.  Fun day at Deer Valley.  Got some Marketing passes.  Skiing wasn't probably the best thing to do for the knee, but we took it pretty easy.  Pretty much covered the whole mountain.  Afterwards went to a great restaurant.  Good workout on the legs.
