Personal:
I herniated/ruptured a disk (L4/L5) in my back in December, 2005. I told my orthopedic surgeon I wanted to start running. He said "You'll never run again.". What a challenge! So...I started running.
Since then I've lost about 50 pounds, ran 13 marathons and a number of other races.
I am still a clydesdale runner (over 200 lbs), have a large frame, big bones, and not built like a runner at all. I'm not fast. I mostly run to have some time to myself and keep in shape.
Went down and watched Conner run at the Weber State University Invitational for High School. In between his events I was able to do a little running - 6 miles on an indoor track, 2 on a treadmill.

Rob,
Hi. You are getting in the miles this week - but very cold weather. Wish it were warmer for you. I was wondering about that. I know he ran two events this and last weekend. I was wondering how much of a break between events.

There was a good break between events-somewhere around 4 1/2 hours.
Enough for us to go eat lunch, go do some shopping at Costco, head back, change, run for an hour and shower... Fun day.

Rob,
Well that is a decent break! And I agree - fun day! Awesome that you get to spend time like that with Conner. These are important life events here - these moments! Be well. Talk to you soon.
