1. Enjoy running 'til I drop dead - and put that off as long as possible.
2. Don't get burn out :-)
Personal:
I herniated/ruptured a disk (L4/L5) in my back in December, 2005. I told my orthopedic surgeon I wanted to start running. He said "You'll never run again.". What a challenge! So...I started running.
Since then I've lost about 50 pounds, ran 13 marathons and a number of other races.
I am still a clydesdale runner (over 200 lbs), have a large frame, big bones, and not built like a runner at all. I'm not fast. I mostly run to have some time to myself and keep in shape.
6 miles at noon with a co-worker. Warmer - 38 degrees. Nice run. About a 7:44/mile AP.

Rob,
Hi. You have got some serious cold weather going on there. Glad to see it got warmer as the week progressed. Hope all well and you are able to get some more runs in. I sometimes stop by and check out what you're doing but don't comment at times...again...sorry about that. Talk to you soon.

Thanks. No need to apologize about not commenting :-) I peruse a lot of blogs and don't really comment a lot.
Good job on your running. Good luck on training for an running the 50 miler. I'm kind of leaning on doing a 50 miler in a few years.
It also looks like you are close to Boston. Hope to see you qualify and run Boston some time. You certainly could with your dedicated training.
