20 miles in the afternoon. 10 miles at tempo pace up and down Smithfield Canyon at 7:28/mile AP. Then did a slow 10 miles with Claire. We did the first 4 at a pretty at an ok pace--around a 7:40 AP. Then we turned North, the wind kicked up and we battled a 35 MPH headwind. I think it was probably good to go 10 miles slower--more time on my feet. It seems that slow long miles are harder than faster long runs. I was more tired afterwards than if I'd ran the last 10 faster...
