PRs:
Half-Marathon:
2012 TOU - 1:25:48
Marathon:
2009 St George - 3:05:25
10K:
2009 First Dam Run - 41:37
Long-Term Running Goals:
1. Enjoy running 'til I drop dead - and put that off as long as possible.
2. Don't get burn out :-)
Personal:
I herniated/ruptured a disk (L4/L5) in my back in December, 2005. I told my orthopedic surgeon I wanted to start running. He said "You'll never run again.". What a challenge! So...I started running.
Since then I've lost about 50 pounds, ran 13 marathons and a number of other races.
I am still a clydesdale runner (over 200 lbs), have a large frame, big bones, and not built like a runner at all. I'm not fast. I mostly run to have some time to myself and keep in shape.
Same 8 miles at lunch. I wasn't able to run on Saturday or yesterday (Monday)--got to get it in Gear. Nice run today. 40 degrees and clear--temperature felt perfect for running. 7:30/mile AP.

Hey Rob,
Hope you got it in gear! Nice 8 miler Tuesday. I have been getting five milers done on Tuesday through Thursday during lunch time! And been super consistent with those weekday runs as a result (versus doing them pre or post work).

Thanks--needed the encouragement. Looks like you've been doing great yourself. Keep it up. I registered for the Ogden Marathon, so now I'll start getting a little more serious about training. Seems if I'm not registered for a race, I slack off :-) Have a good day.
