Long-Term Running Goals:

1.  Enjoy running 'til I drop dead - and put that off as long as possible.
2.  Don't get burn out :-)

Personal:

I herniated/ruptured a disk (L4/L5) in my back in December, 2005.  I told my orthopedic surgeon I wanted to start running.  He said "You'll never run again.".  What a challenge!  So...I started running.

Since then I've lost about 50 pounds, ran 13 marathons and a number of other races.

I am still a clydesdale runner (over 200 lbs), have a large frame, big bones, and not built like a runner at all.  I'm not fast.  I mostly run to have some time to myself and keep in shape.

Weight lifting - Sports Academy.  Really time to start cutting weight.  Been eating way to much lateley and not running that much.  Weighed in at 204.8 this morning.  Starting to track calories today.  We'll see how it goes.  :-)

12 miles up and down Smithfield Canyon.  Nice and easy run. 7:45/mile average pace.  Met Conner going up when I was coming down about at mile 9.  He went up some more and caught me when I hit mile 10.  Saw Paul going up.  Conner stopped and waited for me at the Golf Course hill and we ran a bit together.

Fun times, nice day!

Next week I'll start ramping up again on the miles, and continue working on diet.
